From Houston News 13:

"The Stripes gas station off Tomball Parkway and Holderrieth Road is selling gas for $1.44 a gallon with a "Stripes" card or $1.47 without."

Of course some rich dumbasses insist on paying more but who cares.

Whoot! That V-12 Mercedes is looking like a rational commuter car again! Screw that 4-banger "eco-whatever" BS ... gimme a V8! Who's got cheaper gas nearby? Let's see it's cheaper than:

Milk

Coca-Cola

Bottled Water (and that shit comes out of the tap!)

OJ

Heck any fluids

how the hell do you know see a big sign with the prices in front of every single gas station the United States?

plus it also says at the pump how much the gas is, if its that much more and you can't tell, you really need some glasses (among other things).

Real talk, when gas started to get around $4 a gallon I quit looking at prices and just filled when I needed. Got into a habit of it intact, so I won't hate on the people "unknowingly" paying more.

*But half the price is a big effing difference.

And I thought I was excited over 1.69...

Oh well, my car takes premium only anyway so I'll take anything I can get!

I'm guessing you didn't read the attached story, it talked about a lady who went to a chevron where gas was 2.99 a gallon where most other places in the area, it was around 1.60 a gallon, and I'm wondering why they didn't look at prices.

Where I'm from, all gas stations have signs with the prices on them, and also at the pump, they have it where you select the grade. I'm the type of person who will go to the least expensive gas station in the area and I always try to keep tabs on prices.

there are signs all around here too, but ive pretty much gotten in the habit of not even looking because its always just depressing. basically after it hit $4.

today however, i purposely drove past $2.69 for 93 because i knew i could find better.

Grumble grumble, damnyankee gas prices got me paying two bucks a gallon, grumble grumble.

(Not a serious complaint. I was paying almost twice that not too long ago, after all.)

Damn. Just a few months back I was paying $1.53 / LITER ... granted, it was for 91 octane, highest grade gas in Canada.

Now, regular is around $.98 / liter, or $0.82 US$, so that would make gas at 3.10 US$ / US Gallons.... huh.

Going the other way: 1.47 US$ / gallon would be $1.76 CDN / gallon... or $0.46 per liter. Wait. THE F*CK?!?!?!?!?!?!

I literally haven't seen gas under a dollar/liter since before I had a driver's licence

Actually for once the fat cats are getting fleeced. Tomball is in the sticks and the 2.99 rich old lady gas was in the Galleria area.
